Cherry
Cherry is distinguished by its warm, reddish-brown color that deepens and develops a rich patina over time. Its grain pattern is predominantly smooth and straight, occasionally punctuated by unique figures such as curly or fiddleback. Learn more about cherry color variation with age.
Walnut
Walnut offers a spectrum of brown colors, ranging from light brown to deep chocolate-brown color. While typically straight-grained, occasional waves and intricate, swirling figures may appear.
White Oak
White Oak features a range of brown colors, from beige to warm brown with golden tones. Its grain pattern is generally straight, with occasional ray flecks, where the wood rays intersect to form a unique "cathedral" pattern.
Maple
Maple is recognized for its light, creamy color, and fine, generally straight grain, occasionally featuring subtle waves. A unique pattern, almost exclusively found in hard maple is birdseye, which are tiny knots in the grain. Over time, the color may subtly warm and deepen.
