T.Y. Fine Furniture has built solid-hardwood furniture by hand in Columbus for twenty years — the kind made to last a lifetime, not get replaced. Founder Tarik Yousef started out as an engineer at Honda before leaving to pursue furniture-making, and that precision still runs through every piece.
This July, the shop opens its second showroom in the heart of Grandview and marks it with a three-day event: Built for the Next 250.
As the country turns 250, every piece T.Y. makes is still signed by the person who built it. Stop in over the long weekend to see the work up close, watch a craftsman hand-cut joinery, meet the makers, and see a finished piece signed by hand. Any piece ordered during the event carries the year marked beside the maker's signature.
You'll also get a first look at what's new in Grandview — the Gus Modern collection, a full organic sleep lineup from Naturepedic and Berkeley Ergonomics, plus Stressless and American Leather.
Free and open to the public. Thursday–Saturday, July 2–4, 11 AM–6 PM. 1103 Dublin Rd, Columbus.
