The Strata Dining Chair brings the same hand-carved artistry and minimalist spirit as our Strata tables to every seat at the table. A gently curved top rail and subtly angled back posts give the chair its quiet, sculptural presence, while the tapered legs keep the silhouette light and modern. Each chair is joined using traditional mortise and tenon construction for a piece built to be passed down for generations.
The seat is finished with a plush, tailored cushion available in a range of performance fabrics, letting you match the Strata Dining Chair to your space—from a soft sage weave to bolder statement colors.
Like every piece in the Strata Collection, this chair is handcrafted from 100% solid hardwood—never veneer, particle board, or MDF—and finished with our proprietary zero-VOC organic oil finish, making it a safe, sustainable choice for the whole family.

While most furniture makers use Number 1 Common grade lumber (typically 66-83% clear wood yield), we hand-select from FAS (First and Seconds) and Select grades that yield 83-100% clear, defect-free wood. This superior grading means wider boards, better color consistency, and exceptional grain matching throughout each piece.
Our craftsmen spend considerable time matching individual boards for color harmony, character, and grain pattern - a process that results in furniture with visual continuity rarely achieved with standard-grade lumber.
