Sunrise Dresser - Solid Wood Walnut Dresser
Rich, dark, and undeniably elegant, the Walnut Sunrise Dresser brings a sense of luxury to spaces. The deep brown tones and graceful grain patterns of walnut wood make this dresser a true statement piece—modern yet timeless and luxurious. This material beauty is mirrored in the design: the slightly leaning legs and smooth curves reflect a quiet strength and artistry, inspired by Japanese architecture. Handcrafted in Columbus, Ohio, this solid wood dresser is built to be treasured for generations.
Benefits of Premium Walnut Wood
-
Luxurious colors: The rich, chocolate-brown hues of walnut bring warmth and refinement to any space.
-
Distinctive grain: Typically straight, walnut may also feature subtle variations in pattern in waves and swirls, which make every piece built with the material truly unique.
- Strong and stable: Walnut is a naturally durable hardwood, built to withstand years of daily use, especially when paired with expert craftsmanship.
Sunrise Dresser Best Features
-
Handcrafted joinery: Every curve and corner of this dresser was built by the hands of skilled artisans. They use time-honored, traditional joinery—like the dovetail joints you see on the drawers—to ensure this piece is not only beautiful but also strong enough to last for generations.
-
Sustainably finished: This solid wood dresser is protected by our signature organic oil and wax blend, which works beautifully with natural hardwood.
Design inspired by tradition: The round, gently leaning legs echo the torii gates of Japanese shrines, blending strength with grace.
-
Spacious storage: Six full-extension drawers offer generous storage for clothing, linens, and other everyday items.
-
Soft-close drawers: Precision slides ensure each drawer shuts safely and quietly—no slamming, ever.

“...The bed frame is solid wood, with the custom finish one would expect from fine furniture. It is beautiful, aesthetically soothing, and makes me smile every time I see it. I splurged for the organic mattress (which will outlast me) and am so happy I did. The comfort is amazing. The delivery and setup is the best I've ever experienced with any home delivery, and they even removed my old bed and stacked it neatly at the curb. I'll be visiting them next year for a sofa. Highly recommend TY Fine Furniture!”

We bought a bedroom set from TY Furniture last fall and now plan to furnish the rest of our house from their store. The quality is outstanding and the service is impeccable. We love the high quality solid wood, made here in Columbus, for prices we can afford. We are young and plan to have this set for the rest of our lives!

I purchased the Apollo bedroom set. Every time I walk into the room, I stop to admire it. I’ve never done that with furniture before. Beautifully thought out designs ingeniously put together.

FAQ
See answers to common questions. Contact us for additional support.
Will my furniture fit through tight spaces and doorways?
Bulky items like bed frames require minimal assembly and ship in manageable pieces that easily fit through doorways and hallways. We've designed our packaging to strike the perfect balance—broken down enough for convenient delivery, but not so much that assembly becomes complicated.
How long will it take to get my orders?
See the lead time listed in the 'add to cart' section. This lead time is accurate and connected to our actual production calendar.

Lead Times
Will I be able to move it by myself?
Beds ship in 4-5 separate boxes, each weighing no more than 75 lbs, making them manageable for most people to move independently.
Dressers and casework ship as single units and require two people to move safely, though you can remove the drawers to reduce weight during transport.
Is assembly required?
Bed frames require very light assembly simply to make it easier to move and get into your home.
Dressers and tables might require legs being attached but otherwise ship fully assembled.
We make sure to provide very clear directions and we also provide excellent phone support if you have a question.
Do you use Particle or Chip Board
We exclusively use solid wood for all furniture surfaces—no particle board or chip board whatsoever. Drawer bottoms and case backs feature premium hardwood plywood, a superior material that exceeds the cost of solid hardwood and is engineered specifically for optimal performance in these applications.
What happens if there's a problem with my order?
If any item arrives damaged during shipping, we'll replace it promptly. Replacement parts typically ship same or next day, while larger furniture pieces ship within a week. We prioritize these issues in our production schedule to ensure you receive your replacement as quickly as possible.
Do I need a box spring?
Our beds are all platform beds, we design them to function entirely without a box spring and we have confirmed our platform specifications exceed the standards of all major mattress manufacturers.
